Hi Everyone, we had an amazing 72 submissions for challenge #2! Needless to say it was difficult to only select 3 winners. Laura has a way of making a tag into a mini piece of art! Her tags have all the elements and pizazz that a card does but in a smaller format. The vibrant color, contrast of white and black with the softness of the vellum die-cut leaf really come together to make a tag that says WOW!!! Thanks so much for joining us Laura! I think we're all warmed up and ready for another challenge now! This time you'll have more time to play along, so here we go!

Welcome to our First Challenge!

Virginia Lu is our featured designer for our first challenge. She's a very versatile, prolific and passionate designer. I love her use of vibrant color! Each project she creates is unique and always so artistically expressive. Please welcome her to Tag You're It! Thanks so much Virginia for sharing your fantastic tags with us for our inspiration! Here are the details of Virginia's Project:

Supplies: Distress Inks (Peacock Feathers, Ripe Persimmons, Shabby Shutters, Tea Dye), Lawn Fawn Die Cut (thanks), Altenew (Hennah Elements), Perfect Pearl Liquid Droplets, sequins, May Arts ribbons.

Virginia Explains: Based on the colors of “Tag, You‘re It” Logo, I made a colorful background by swiping the Distress Ink Pads colors onto heavy card stock. Then I made a few die cuts and layered them in assorted ways: layered, inlaid and stacked. I hope these tags inspire you to create and have fun. Tags are super easy to make. You can use a die cut or just create your own. Sky is the limit! Thanks, Jackie, for inviting me to be the first guest designer for this new challenge blog.

Introducing the Tag You're It Challenge!

Welcome to our BRAND NEW Challenge!!!

If you LOVE creating Clean and Simple TAGS and CARDS, this challenge is for YOU! Each month we'll feature a designer's project for inspiration. You'll link up your creation, then come back to see if it was TAGGED as the winner! All projects TAGGED become eligible for an optional guest designer spot, in a future challenge.

Our focus will be tags but a card or a scrapbook layout with a tag even if it's teeny tiny, is acceptable. Even bookmarks can take the form of a tag. Just have fun and be creative with TAGS! Please read the How To Play Along page for more information.

Our first challenge will take place on Friday, July 4 with a super talented designer that knows how to create OUTSTANDING tags. I'm sure she'll inspire us to create our own tiny masterpieces! I hope you'll join us in our first game of TAG!!!

We're looking for a GUEST DESIGNER to INSPIRE us in a mini challenge to get things started! The mini challenge will be posted on Friday, June 27 at 9:00am EDT and close on Wednesday, July 2 at 9:00pm EDT.

Submission Instructions: If you're interested in becoming a guest designer email us using the Contact Form in the sidebar. Please provide your name, blog address and a link to 1-3 tags or cards with tags you've created in the email. If you're selected, you'll be contacted by email. The deadline to enter to become the mini challenge guest designer is Wednesday, June 18 at 9:00am EDT. We'll announce the guest designer for the mini challenge on Friday, June 20 at 9:00am EDT.
